India still suffers from many blights, in spite of his galloping growth. Although first effects, there remains myriad of excluding and let down people. A lot of NGO work here marvellously for children schooling with and for the rights of the women.
In my knowledge, nobody cared about the daily of rickshaw-wallahs.
I am French, I live in Delhi with my Indian companion where we have a tour agency. As all natives, for short itineraries, we use the services of rickshaws. We have "our officials", those with whom some links are born.
I discovered, in spite of what I thought, that the hardest thing was not to be exploited. The dalit does not rebel by himself! It is this typically Indian fatalism, owed unquestionably, in Castes therefore in religion. By the way, the hardest for them is to be so far from their country and family, and to have no home.
